You guys need to make these kabobs at your next out door BBQ! Bacon weaved in between  chicken, pineapple, onions, and bell peppers, and then covered in a pineapple glaze. These are sooooooooo good. I mean, I’ve seen bacon pretty much with all these ingredients… Bacon wrapped chicken, bacon wrapped pineapple, and the smell of bacon and onion cooking together in a pan is pretty much to die for. How can these be bad?

Grilled onions and bell peppers are my favorite, and if you’ve never had grilled pineapple before you’re in for a treat! Happy grilling!

  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 2 pounds)
  • 1 large pineapple, cut into 1½ inch chunks
  • 2 large red bell peppers, cut into 1½ inch pieces
  • 1 large onion, cut into 1½ inch pieces
  • 12 strips of thick cut bacon
  • 1½ cups pineapple juice
  • 1½ tablespoons cornstarch
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 6 long skewers
  1. To make the Hawaiian sauce: Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan and stir until the cornstarch is dissolved. Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce the heat to medium and simmer for 2 minutes. Set-aside until ready to use.
  2. Thread the skewers. Weave the bacon around each piece of chicken and pineapple, stick the bell pepper and onion together and weave the bacon around both of those. You'll need two strips of bacon per skewer if using 4 pieces of chicken and 3 pieces each of pineapple, bell pepper and onion. Brush some olive or vegetable oil evenly over each kabob.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium high. Grill the kabobs for 10-15, turning a couple of times, until done.
  4. Slather with hot Hawaiian sauce and serve immediately.

These Hawaiian Chicken Kabobs are loaded up with peppers, chicken and of course pineapple and are brushed with an easy to create Pineapple Honey BBQ sauce!

Having a delicious thick BBQ sauce is great to add that sticky caramelized finish we all love so much .

The new KC Masterpiece® BBQ Sauce & Dry Rubs can be combined with ANY liquid to create a delicious sauce or marinade.  I simply added pineapple juice to the mix and stirred it to create the perfect thick sauce!  The result was tender grilled kabobs with loads of sweet tangy pineapple flavor.

If you haven’t seen these mixes yet, I’m kind of in love with them! Each box comes with two pouches of mix that can be combined with any liquid to create your own sauces and marinades…  think beer, cola, juice or root beer to create the perfect BBQ sauce for your summer grilling!

You can also use the mixes as a dry rub for the perfect grilled chicken!  (Next on my list is Spicy Habanero mixed with beer for an amazing rib sauce).

You can find all of the ingredients you need for these Kabobs at Walmart including three great flavors of KC Masterpiece® BBQ Sauce & Dry Rub in Original, Sweet Honey, and Spicy Habanero.

Hawaiian Chicken Kebabs

Yield: About 9 - 10 kebabs

  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 1/3 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup pineapple juice
  • 4 Tbsp olive oil, divided, plus more for brushing grill
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp rice vinegar
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced (4 tsp)
  • 1 Tbsp minced ginger
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 3/4 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, chopped into 1 1/4-inch cubes
  • 3 cups (heaping) fresh cubed pineapple (about 3/4 of 3 lb pineapple)
  • 1 1/2 large green peppers, diced into 1 1/4-inch pieces
  • 1 large red onion, diced into 1 1/4-inch pieces

  • In a mixing bowl whisk together ketchup, brown sugar, soy sauce, pineapple juice, 2 Tbsp olive oil, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger and sesame oil. Stir in 3/4 tsp pepper and season with salt if desired. Place chicken in a gallon size resealable bag. Reserve 1/2 cup of the marinade in refrigerator then pour remaining marinade over chicken. Seal bag and refrigerate 1 - 2 hours (meanwhile soak 10 wooden skewer sticks in water for 1 hour).
  • Preheat a grill over medium heat to 400 degrees. Meanwhile, drizzle remaining 2 Tbsp olive oil over red onion, bell pepper and pineapple and toss. Season red onion and bell pepper with salt and pepper, then thread red onion, bell pepper, pineapple and chicken onto skewers until all of the chicken has been used. Brush grill grates with olive oil then place skewers on grill. Grill 5 minutes then brush along tops with 1/4 cup of remaining marinade. Rotate to opposite side and brush remaining 1/4 cup of marinade on opposite side and allow to grill about 4 minutes longer, or until chicken registers 165 degrees in center on an instant read thermometer. Serve warm.

도너(되네르)나 카그(?), 쉬시케밥 모두 괜찮다.

한국에서는 대부분 도너케밥이지만 어떤 케밥이든 좋다.

카그? 케밥 (Cağ kebabı)

Grilled Chicken Kebab Recipe

First of all, make sure you bring home 500gms of skinless chicken for your diet. Since the skin contains more fat, we ignore it while on the General Motors diet.

Ingredients for Chicken Kebab

  • Olive Oil: 1 tablespoon
  • Skinless Chicken (cut into round pieces): 1/4 kg (serves 1 meal: lunch or dinner)
  • Yellow Bell Peppers: 2
  • Green Bell Peppers: 2
  • Onions: 2 (cut into halves)
  • Tomatoes: 2
  • Salt & Pepper as required.

How to Prepare Grilled Chicken Kebab for GM Diet?

  1. Take the chicken pieces and skew them together on barbecue sticks with all the ingredients including Bell peppers, onions, and tomatoes.
  2. Next, rub them with Olive oil, salt and pepper on all the sides.
  3. Place them on a grill or oven and cook them until all the pieces become tender. In case you don't have a Microwave, you can simply put them on an open fire (stove) and fry them.
That's all! Your Chicken Kebabs are ready to be served. Garnish them with Cucumber while serving.

PS: We are using Olive Oil to cook the Chicken Kebabs as it contains good fatty acids.
